1. Join DRDO as Scientist
Join the DRDO as a scientist and serve the nation. Every year, the Recruitment and Evaluation Center recruits Scientists in the Defense Research and Development Service (DRDS) mostly at entry-level (Scientist ‘B’) through GATE. However, a limited number of scientists are also recruited in higher grades (Scientist ‘C’ to Scientist ‘H’) depending on the requirements in specialised areas of research and development. In the DRDO, scientists are responsible for undertaking research, design and development of components/ software/ systems/ materials/ products, simulation and modelling of process/ system, testing, technical services, R&D and other tasks related to science and technology.
To join DRDO, you must meet the defined eligibility criteria or qualifications. The nominee has to be an Indian resident. The maximum age for applicants to be hired as Scientist ‘B’ is 28 years for Gen, 31 years for OBC, 33 years for SC/ST Nominee. Applicants should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication/ Mechanical/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electric/ Aeronautical/ Chemical/ Textile/ Civil/ Metallurgy (Material Science & Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering). The best thing is that students in the final year are now qualified to apply. Qualifying GATE is mandatory for Recruitment in DRDO. In addition, applicants must appear for a written descriptive examination followed by a personal interview as part of the DRDO PSU Recruitment via the GATE process.
2. Join DRDO as Technician
The Center for Personal Talent Acquisition, a DRDO service body, hires applicants for Technician (A), Senior Technical Assistant and Admin & Allied. A specialist is responsible for implementing the instructions of the senior, overseeing and regulating the technical aspects of the programmes. The Center for Personal Talent Management (CEPTAM) is responsible for the Recruiting of Professional, Administrative & Allied non-gassed employees, the appraisal of DRTC Officers & Employees, and promotes preparation for the advancement of these cadres in compliance with the training policy of DRDO.
The claimant must be an Indian resident. Must be 10th Pass at least 65 percent for Gen and 55 percent for SC/ ST and must be ITI Diploma OR National Trade Certificate OR National Learning Certificate. Candidates who are more than 28 years of age are not qualify for this job. Applicants who have completed their ITI Diploma in Automotive, Book Binder, COPA, Electrician, Motor Mechanic, Carpenter, DTP Operator, Turner, Electronics, Welder, Fitter, Medical Lab Technology, Draughtsman (ME), Mechanic (Diesel) and Machinist can apply for a DRDO technician.
3. Join DRDO for Admin and Allied (Non Tech) Positions
The selection of applicants for direct recruiting to the Admin & Allied System in DRDO is through the Center for Personal Talent Management (CEPTAM). Stenographer, Shop Assistant (Hind English Typing), Administrative Assistant (Hindi, English Typing), Halwaiian, Fire Truck Driver, Accountant, Fireman and Vehicle Operator are all non-tech necessary vacancies. They are all distinct and have their own duties, but as a matter of fact, they are all responsible for all the official work that is important to the functioning of every organisation.
The nominee must be an Indian resident. It should be between 18 and 27 years of age (Age Relaxation is Applicable as per the govt. Rules). Applicants must be 10+2 from every recognised board for Stenographer Grade-2 (English Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Store Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing), Store Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Security Assistant ‘A’ post. It is necessary to have a 10th pass from every recognised board of directors for Clerk, Asst. Halwai-Cum chef, ‘A’ vehicle operator, Fire Truck Driver and Fireman post.
4. Join DRDO as Multitasking Staff
MTS is hired by DRDO through CEPTAM. Some of the essential duties of multi-tasking workers are the physical management of records/archives, general cleanliness & maintenance, handling of files & other documentation inside the premises, photocopying, driving of cars, maintenance of parks, cleaning of buildings and any other job delegated by the higher authority.
The nominee has to be an Indian resident. It should be between 18 and 25 years of age. The minimum academic prerequisite is the 10th pass or the ITI.
