Established in 1956, All India Institute of Medical Sciences has been the best medical college in Delhi for more than 11 years now. The college is spread over 330 acres of land. Every year AIIMS intakes 77 students for MBBS, 217 to 220 students for MS and MD, and 12 students for MCh/ DM. For admission, the AIIMS entrance exam is conducted by the colleges. Every year, around 1 lakh students appear for this exam, but only 77 odd gets through for the undergraduate courses.
